Easy and fluffy pizza dough recipe

Making home-made pizza dough is very simple and easy. You probably already have all of the ingredients at home!

Some tips before we start:

☆ If you want to let the dough rise for a longer period, be sure to only use half of the yeast mentioned below. Otherwise too many air bubbles will form and it might not turn out the way you intended it to.

☆ As for the flour, I used all-purpose flour since it was the only flour O had on hand, but bread flour makes the process of creating gluten even better (which is what you want when making bread dough).

☆ When adding the water, don’t use it all at once. See and feel whether the dough need more water. If the dough is too sticky, you can add some flour If your dough feels too dry, add some water. But be careful, the dough will be sticky in the beginning and should become more manageable after kneading for a few minutes.

☆ Also, be sure to never mix the yeast with the salt directly. This will the yeast which you very need for making the dough fluffy.

Ingredients:

  • (Bread) flour 500 gr
  • Dried yeast 7 gr
  • Lukewarm water 275-300 ml
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Grab a large bowl and put in the flour together with the dried yeast.
  2. Add the water to the flour and yeast mixture. Add the pinch of salt and start kneading until incorporated.
  3. When it becomes smooth enough to handle, take the pizza dough out of the bowl and start kneading. When kneading by hand, keep folding the dough in half and mush it together. Keep kneading like this for about 10 minutes.
  4. After kneading, sprinkle some flour into the bowl and place the dough back into the bowl.
  5. Cover with a damp cloth to prevent the dough from drying out. Then place the bowl someplace warm.
  6. After and hour, the dough should have doubled. Take the dough back out of the bowl and press out the large air bubbles. This is where you can start dividing it into smaller pieces (if you want) and start forming it in the desired shape.
  7. This is when you can start putting on the toppings you like.
  8. Place the pizza in a preheated oven at 250°C and bake the pizza for about 10-15 minutes (until the crushed feels nice crunchy).
